Multi-talented singer Moncherie will be releasing the flashy video for her hot new single, ‘What I Want’ with an assist from ‘Love and Hip Hop’ alumni and music star Safaree this month.
“This video is amazing. This is going to push the genre to another level when it hits TV screens. The visuals, the chemistry, people are going to love it. The visuals with Safaree are really steamy,” the 22-year-old said.
MonCherie’s manager Cyndi Davila said the sexy video shows off the undisputed chemistry between Safaree and MonCherie.
“Moncherie continues to release quality music and visuals solidifying her growing stardom in the US market,” she said.
MonCherie, given name Cherie Stoute, is a female dancehall artiste from St Lucia.
She has Jamaican roots, and industry insiders believe she is on a fast trajectory towards becoming one of dancehall music’s youngest and brightest stars.
“I love dancehall, my goal is to bring hot music and a new sound to the industry,” said MonCherie, who cites Jamaican dancehall trailblazers Lady Saw and Patra as her musical influences.
She is known for her 2016 Billboard reggae chart number one hit ‘Can’t Say No’, featured on dancehall superstar Vybz Kartel’s album.
She is known for dancehall chart-burner ‘Bay Bay’ featuring Kartel and ‘Gates of Heaven’, also alongside the deejay.
